Christine Traversi
Christine Traversi is the founder of Traversi Law, PLLC, a Houston-based law firm providing strategic legal counsel in immigration and property-related matters.
Her immigration practice focuses on employment-based petitions, including EB-1 (Extraordinary Ability) and National Interest Waiver (NIW) cases, as well as other nonimmigrant and immigrant visa classifications. Her property practice covers real estate, landlord/tenant, and homeowners' association (HOA) governance matters.
Christine has over ten years of experience in U.S. Immigration Law. She has been recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America (BL Rankings LLC) for 2024-2025 for her work in Immigration Law and Labor and Employment Law. Additionally, she was recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® (BL Rankings LLC) for 2026 for her work in Immigration Law. She is known for her structured, evidence-driven approach — working closely with clients to build well-supported cases that anticipate how petitions are evaluated in practice, not just how the legal standards are written. Her approach emphasizes careful preparation, internal consistency, and strategic positioning from the outset.
Her immigration practice also includes corporate compliance and worksite enforcement matters. She advises employers across industries, including restaurants, industrial companies, and other businesses with large or diverse workforces, on I-9 compliance, internal audits, and responses to government enforcement activity. She also assists companies in navigating immigration-related due diligence for corporate transactions.
In property-related matters, she represents landlords, property owners, and associations in disputes, governance issues, and enforcement matters. Her work is informed not only by legal experience but also by direct involvement in HOA governance, providing practical insight into how these issues arise and are resolved in real-world settings.
Christine does not take a volume-based approach to legal work. She focuses on matters that require thoughtful analysis and careful execution, works closely with clients at every stage, and provides candid assessments along the way. Her priorities are preparation, responsiveness, and practical problem-solving — and she makes sure clients understand both the process and the strategy behind it.
Christine is a frequent speaker on business immigration topics at national and regional conferences, including American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) conferences, the University of Texas Annual Conference on Immigration and Nationality Law, and the Texas State Bar Immigration Conference. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Houston Journal of International Law at the University of Houston Law Center and has served on AILA National committees, including the Bylaws Committee, Verification and Compliance Committee, and Finance Committee.
